The Prince and Princess of Wales have re-emerged for the third time since Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The royals put on a united front as they stepped out in Powys, east Wales, ahead of St David’s Day for an action-packed day of engagements celebrating the Welsh national day.

This marks the third time both Princess Kate and Prince William have been seen since news of Andrew’s arrest – and subsequent release – broke last Thursday. Kate was pictured attending the Six Nations England v Ireland game on Saturday, followed by a joint appearance alongside her husband at the 2026 BAFTAs on Sunday night, before the Prince of Wales undertook a solo royal engagement in London on Wednesday.

Today’s royal agenda

The Prince and Princess of Wales will have a busy day in Wales, celebrating the theme of ‘community’ during their visit. Their trip started with a visit to the town of Llanidloes, where they visited the Hanging Gardens community centre. While there, the duo met with volunteers, while also taking part in some of the activities that the group offers.

Later in the day, William and Kate are expected to head to the Oriel Davies, a public contemporary art gallery in Newtown. One of the exhibitions at the gallery was produced by children and young people. Their visit is due to conclude by meeting a group of people learning the Welsh language.

The outing will no doubt be important for William, who has been learning key phrases in the language since becoming the Prince of Wales back in 2022.

Their final outing of the day is due to take place at Hafan yr Afon, a cultural hub in the town. During their visit, the pair will attend a celebration of volunteer groups and community champions who live in Powys.

As always, the Princess of Wales looked so glam as she stepped out in a maroon coat. Meanwhile, William opted for a brown jacket and blue trousers. The pair were both seen wearing daffodils, the national flower of Wales.
