The Prince and Princess of Wales have made an exciting new hire in their communications department. Rosie Trainor, who previously worked as a Senior Account Manager at Freuds, is joining Prince William and Kateâs Royal Household as a Senior Communications Officer, taking up the position this month.Â
Rosie, who has a Masterâs in Politics and Communications from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a BA in International Relations from Durham University, will clearly be a great asset to the team and joins amid a series of exciting projects for the Prince and Princess. Â
The Royal Foundation is an amalgamation of Prince William and Kateâs nearest and dearest causes close to their hearts, including Williamâs homelessness project, Homewards. It is the Prince and Princess of Walesâs primary philanthropic vehicle, and the centre of many of their projects, for example, Kateâs work with the Early Years and Williamâs Earthshot prize environmental awards.
Kate and Williamâs staffing shake-up
The new appointment appears to have come as part of a wider shake-up for the Walesâs team and follows a string of new hires.Â
Sarah Henwood joined this month as the Foundationâs new CEO, taking over from Amanda Berry, who stepped into the coveted role in June 2022, having previously served as Chief Executive of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) for over 20 years.Â
Sarah wrote in a LinkedIn post that she is feeling âawe, excitement and a fresh energyâ as she readies herself for the new challenge. At the same time, she announced a personal ârebrandâ and said she will be known as Sarah Henwood in the new role, instead of Sarah Rose, as sheâs currently known online.
Speaking on the new appointment when it was announced in September, the Prince and Princess of Wales said: âWe are looking forward to welcoming Sarah to The Royal Foundation and to working with her on some of the issues which are closest to our hearts. We are hugely grateful to Amanda for her exceptional leadership over the past three years and are pleased she will continue to work with us in her new role as Global Partnerships Ambassador.â
Meanwhile, last month, the Prince of Wales hired a âcrisis management expertâ to join his royal household. According to the Daily Mail, Liza Ravenscroft has been recruited from communications firm Edelman. HELLO! understands Ms Ravenscroft is joining Williamâs royal household in a non-crisis-based role, working on the day-to-day press interaction Kensington Palace has.
Other loyal staff members in the Walesâ employment include their full-time nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, who was recently given a Royal Victorian Medal (Silver) for her services to the couple.
