Prince Harry Shares “Challenging” Conversation He’s Started Having With Kids Archie and Lilibet
Life in California has been royally blissful for Prince Harry.
Former professional rugby player Richie McCaw caught up with the Duke of Sussex during the 2025 Invictus Games earlier this month, where they briefly chatted about Harry’s life in Montecito with Meghan Markle and kids Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3.
“I said, ‘How things go?’ And he goes, ‘Well, life’s going on pretty good,'” Richie recalled of their conversation to Us Weekly in an interview published Feb. 28. “He was like, ‘Yeah, I can drop the kids off at school… without any issue.'”
The athlete—who also posted a selfie with Harry from the sporting event to Instagram—added, “And hey, we all take that for granted, don’t we?” before calling Harry and Meghan’s estrangement from the royal family a “tough situation to be in…however you look at it.”
Richie, 44, went on to reflect on his time with Harry in Vancouver.
“We’ve rubbed shoulders with the royal family a few times I haven’t spent a lot of time with Harry,” he said, “But yeah, it was cool that you got to have a chat. And I didn’t think a selfie like that would get so much attention.”
