Meghan Markle has officially shared her first glimpse of family life back in the UK – and it couldn’t be more adorable.

From splashing in puddles in the rain to cosying up by the fire, it’s clear the Sussex family are making the most of cooler temperatures after touching down from the warm climes of Montecito, California.

In one snippet, Prince Archie, seven, could barely contain his excitement as he raced his younger sister, Princess Lilibet, five, who was riding her bike down a track.

The youngster was heard shouting “Go, go!”, sounding distinctly British, though he can usually be heard with a pronounced American accent

As he sprinted off, his dad, Prince Harry, called “Archie, Archie”, in an attempt to get him to slow down.

Although Archie has lived in America since 2020 and has attended school there, he was born in the UK on 6 May, 2019.

All about Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s accents

Archie and Lilibet have picked up several “Americanisms,” including in their accents, from their time in the US, although Meghan’s latest video suggests they may still say some words the UK way.

And speaking on the Drew Barrymore show in 2025, Meghan admitted: “Some of the words that they still say with a British accent, so they’ll say z-e-b-r-a.” The Duchess used a hard “zed’ sound to demonstrate.

“And what else do they say? They have these little moments where it comes out, and because they have very American accents, but they say words that are just like him, and I think it’s adorable. Zebra is a good one.”

We’ve only heard the Sussex children speak a handful of times, in videos shared by Meghan on social media, but each time, it’s been the American twang on display.

In the couple’s Netflix series, Harry & Meghan, in 2022, Archie could already be heard speaking with an American accent after moving to Santa Barbara, reading aloud from The Gruffalo with Meghan.

Meanwhile, Archie and Lili’s strong accents could be heard in a video Meghan shared back in 2025, singing to her late beagle, Guy

“We love you Guy, yes we do. We love you Guy, and we’ll be true. When you’re not near us, we’re blue,” they sang.

In another cute clip, the kids took to the water for a day of fishing with Harry, while Meghan filmed from the shore with their black Labrador, Pula, nearby.

The Sussexes looked to be soaking up the countryside as Meghan and Harry, who were bundled up in jackets, held hands while enjoying a scenic walk.

“Come on, you,” Meghan ushered the person behind the camera along, presumably one of her young children.

After Archie shouted “Go, go” on his bike ride with Lilibet, Meghan then played the soundtrack of Wham!’s 1984 classic “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go,” adding a Union Jack and red heart emoji.
