OMG! Pitbull is jumping in on the Metsâ postseason run.
The 43-year-old rapper will be featured on a remix of Metsâ second baseman Jose Iglesiasâ song âOMG,â releasing on Friday, Oct. 11, as the New York fan base celebrates their team advancing to the National League Championship Series.
Silvestre Dangond will also be featured on the remix with Pitbull.
Iglesias, 34, has a side hustle as a musician and released the song in June under his stage name, Candelita. He first performed it at Citi Field, inspiring Mets fans to adopt the track as the teamâs anthem this season and bring âOMGâ inspired signs and merchandise to support the team at games.
The song and music video debuted at No. 1 overall on the Billboard charts for Latin digital song sales, USA Today reported.
According to Mets play-by-play announcer Evan Stockton, Iglesias first played the hit song for his teammates in the clubhouse back in April,
âItâs a blessing, itâs a dream come true,â Iglesias said of having Pitbull on the remix during an appearance on the Digginâ Deep Podcast, adding that heâs âgladâ to be able to âconnect with peopleâ through his music.

The second baseman said his team reached out to the Pitbullâs management in the hopes of having him as a feature on the track. Pitbull âfell in loveâ with the song âright away,â Iglesias said on the podcast.
âThe next day, we got the track down,â the athlete shared, adding that itâs a âprivilegeâ to have the âopportunityâ to work with Pitbull and Dangond.
The Mets defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1 on Wednesday, advancing to the next round of the MLB playoffs with the World Series in their sights. After the win, the team celebrated with champagne in the clubhouse while dancing to Iglesiasâ hit song.
âA @Mets celebration wouldnât be complete without the whole team singing OMG,â Fox Sports wrote in a post sharing footage from the epic celebration on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Friends and family, as well as fans, of the team were prepared for the festivities with their âOMGâ signs at Citi Field. The teamâs owner, Steve Cohen, was also seen holding up a sign with the title of Iglesiasâ hit song.
