Paul Simon couldn’t stay off the road forever.
After announcing his retirement from touring in 2018 due to hearing loss, the Simon & Garfunkel icon announced a string of 2025 North American concerts on Feb. 18 in support of his latest album, Seven Psalms, released in May 2023.
Simon’s upcoming A Quiet Celebration Tour will take place in intimate venues, a choice the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member made in response to his hearing loss as “the acoustics are optional,” according to a press release.
For the tour, the Grammy winner worked with the Stanford Initiative to Cure Hearing Loss and his own production team to configure his stage setup with “moving monitors to surround him,” per the release.
At each concert, Simon will perform a blend of songs from Seven Psalms as well as “a celebration of his timeless classics,” the release detailed.
He’ll kick off the trek on April 4 at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans before stopping in cities including Austin, Denver, Nashville, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, New York City, Los Angeles and more. The tour wraps Aug. 3 at the Benaroya Hall in Seattle.
Tickets go on sale Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. local time, and more information is available at Simon’s website.
Seven Psalms marked the “Mrs. Robinson” artist’s fifteenth solo studio album.
Simon’s tour announcement arrived days after his performance of 1966’s “Homeward Bound” with Sabrina Carpenter during the SNL50 anniversary special on Feb. 15.
