Pamela Anderson never expected this much fanfare around her barefaced look.
In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, “The Last Showgirl” actress, 57, confessed that going makeup-free was originally a private experiment.
“This whole peeling it back was kind of how I just started. I just wanted to remember who I was,” the A-lister, who went viral for her fresh face during Paris Fashion Week last September, said during the convo.
She went on to explain, “I mean, I’ve been playing characters my whole life — I want to play characters in movies, not in my personal life.”
“I just want to be me, so this is an experiment. It’s just something I feel drawn to do — I didn’t even think anyone would notice!” she said with a giggle.
Notice they did; the world has been fascinated by the legendary actress’ ongoing streak of makeup-free red carpet appearances.
She’s even inspired fellow celebrities like Drew Barrymore and Jamie Lee Curtis to hop aboard the no-makeup train.
Anderson has spoken openly about her new fresh-faced look in past interviews as well.
Last week, on the red carpet at the Gotham Awards 2024, the model told People, “I mean .. I love to wear makeup too sometimes.”
Anderson continued, “It has a time and a place. I just feel in my personal life, it just didn’t really make sense.”
Meanwhile, in an interview with Better Homes & Gardens over the summer, Anderson said she garnered some new fans after abandoning makeup.
“I have people stop me on the street now and say, ‘You know, I never liked you before, but I do now.’ And then I think, ‘Hmm, I know there’s a compliment in there somewhere,’” she told the outlet.
With the blond bombshell recently debuting bangs, we’re sure all eyes are on Anderson for upcoming beauty trends.
