Pamela Anderson defies makeup ban – bringing back ’90s lipliner for one night only

Pamela Anderson is turning 59 this year and has never looked more gorgeous and youthful. The blonde beauty, who was catapulted to fame in 1989 after being discovered at a football game, has had a real makeup transition over the years, going from glamorous cosmetic lover to being known for sporting a fresh, natural face, free from products.

After spending decades sporting dark eyeshadow, frosted pink lipstick, fake eyelashes, and overlined lipliner, Pamela shocked the world in 2023 when she arrived at Paris Fashion Week sporting very little makeup. At the Isabel Marant and Vivienne Westwood shows that year, all that could be seen on her face was a flick of mascara and a simple slick of natural gloss, a remarkable contrast from the famously vampy look she was famous for.

Pamela has embraced a makeup free look ever since 2023

Since then, the mother-of-two hasn’t looked back, regularly heading to the red carpet sans makeup, sporting a super natural, pared-down look.

The blonde actress wowed at the premiere of Rosebush Pruning

However, last week, at the premiere of her new film, Rosebush Pruning, the 58-year-old did an about-turn. The blonde beauty embraced romantic colour-blocking in a structured blush bodice paired with a high-waisted lime green skirt, and a matching flowing cape. But it was her beauty look that stole the show.

Pamela had overlined her lips with liner

Pamela left her mascara at home, and her softly styled platinum hair was as coiffed as ever. But if you look closely, you can see that she had overlined her lips with a ’90s, rosebud-toned pink liner, which gave her pout a soft, pillowy look. This appears to have been a temporary decision, as a few hours later, Pamela had an outfit change where she wore a glorious cape dress, and the lipliner look appeared to have gone. It was replaced with a more natural look.

The actress was a huge fan of lipliner in the 90s

Lipliner is a great way to make your lips look fuller without injections. Lipliner acts as a physical barrier between the skin and your lips, preventing your lipstick from bleeding and keeping everything looking neat. It can also balance out the shape and build volume, particularly if you draw the line slightly over your natural lip line and apply a subtle gloss to blend it all in.
