Paige DeSorbo is not interested in fansâ theories on why she and Craig Conover broke up.
The Summer House star, 32, announced on the Monday, Dec. 30 episode of her podcast Giggly Squad that she and the Southern Charm star, 35, split after dating for three years. The former couple began dating in 2021 after appearing on Winter House together.
Following DeSorboâs announcement, fans have speculated about their split on social media â and the reality star is now weighing in.
One user posted a TikTok video on Dec. 30, arguing that DeSorbo shouldâve decided to âsettle downâ with Conover much sooner and she prolonged their relationship for no reason. In response, DeSorbo wrote, âMay friends like this never find me.â
Another user posted a video of her boyfriend ranting about the former coupleâs split, claiming that fans would have âto be blind not to see this comingâ after their frequent disagreements on the show, and that it was DeSorboâs âcallâ to end things because she âspoke very vocally about what she wanted.â Commenting on the Jan. 1 clip, DeSorbo wrote: âWe love a gossip king.â
A different fan posted a since-deleted video on Jan. 1, claiming that DeSorbo âcalled it quitsâ with Conover after learning that he was âabout to propose,â according to Page Six. The move ultimately âcaught him off guardâ and âruined the proposal,â Page Six reported, citing the fan video.
DeSorbo then reportedly replied to the video, writing: âIâm obsessed with all of this fan fiction.â
But when the same fan posted a video on Jan. 2, claiming that DeSorbo was caught âcheatingâ on the Southern Charm star with an âinternet personalityâ who is not on TV nor a celebrity, DeSorbo seemingly set the record straight.
In the comments section, she appeared to deny the allegations and even threatened to take legal action. âSee you in court,â she wrote.
DeSorboâs comments come days after she told her Giggly Squad co-host Hannah Berner and their listeners that the breakup âwas just the right decision for both of us moving forward in our lives and the direction in our lives that we didnât force.â
âI have so much love and respect for Craig. I think he is one of the best people I have ever met in my entire life. I will remain the biggest fan of him and want the best for him and he truly will get the best because he is the best,â she said.
âI love him, I think he loves me,â she added. âI think we will remain friends. No one did anything. It wasnât a bad thing. I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didnât want, and I think thatâs extremely powerful to be able to voice how youâre feeling in real-time and what you want for your future.â
âAs you get older, I mean, I started dating Craig when I was 29 and Iâm 32 now,â she said. âAnd your 30s, for women, I feel like are very transformative. And you change a lot and you grow a lot. Him as well.â
Although DeSorbo candidly discussed the breakup, Conover has not yet commented. Weeks before they split, Conover told PEOPLE that they had plans to get married one day.
âWeâre playing the long game. It would be easy to go for instant gratification, but the foundation that weâre building is so that we die together one day, not just make it fun,â he said at the time. âWe know weâre going to get married one day, and when it happens, itâll be a lot of fun, but whenever that is, who knows?â

Following their breakup, it appeared DeSorboâs pillow line had been removed from Conoverâs lifestyle website Sewing Down South. The link, which used to lead to âThe Paige Collection,â suddenly appeared blank.
A note on the screen reads: âThis page does not exist. Try searching for what you would like to find.â
PEOPLE reached out to Sewing Down South for comment.
