The tweens are hitting the town in style.

North West was spotted holding hands with a friend in Manhattan’s Soho neighborhood on Monday, wearing head-to-toe Balenciaga.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s 12-year-old daughter carried the French luxury house’s Cagole XS studded leather shoulder bag ($2,600) with its 3B football v-neck tee ($950), her go-to Hardcrocs clogs with metal hardware ($1,390) and All-Around Blackletter socks ($140).

She rounded out the designer look with a Vivienne Westwood pendant necklace, oversized sunglasses, and a jumble of silver jewelry.

Later, West documented the outing on the TikTok account she shares with her mom. She posted two videos lip-syncing to Lil Uzi Vert and OsamaSon’s “Pop,” plus a photo throwing peace signs in front of the Mercer Hotel.

The casual Manhattan outing comes after months of headlines about West’s increasingly bold style choices. In late October, the tween posted photos wearing fake face tattoos, a faux septum piercing, blue contact lenses, and grillz, prompting concern from fans.

After Daily Mail Australia posted a TikTok video with the headline “North West, 12, worries fans with new look,” the tween replied with what Kardashian called “a good clapback.”

“She writes back to a comment, and she goes, ‘This is such a non-issue,’” Kardashian, 45, recalled in a Complex “GOAT Talk” video earlier this month. The mother-daughter duo shares a TikTok account due to West’s age, so Kardashian got credit for the response, but she clarified that it wasn’t her doing.

Kardashian has been navigating the challenges of raising a fashion-forward preteen in the public eye.

During an appearance on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast last month, she addressed criticism over some of West’s outfits — including a corset-and-miniskirt combo worn during a family trip to Rome.

“It’s really hard and it’s really interesting because all the kids are wearing the same things,” Kardashian told the host. “But then my daughter tries to wear it, and then I’m like, ‘OK, we’re never wearing that again.’ Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.”

Still, the Skims mogul has maintained that self-expression is worth the scrutiny. “I’m like, ‘Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is,’” she told Cooper. “It makes her so happy.”

More recently, West starred in her mom’s Skims holiday campaign for the brand’s Cactus Plant Flea Market collaboration, showing off hip-length electric blue braids while modeling the collection.

“Having North in this campaign makes it really special for me,” Kardashian said in a press release. “She brings so much personality to the pieces.”

The advertisement, shot by filmmaker Harmony Korine and released Nov. 17, was North’s first Skims campaign appearance since 2020.
