North West brought her signature edgy style to the desert this weekend as she made a headline-grabbing appearance at Coachella – all while her father, Kanye West, remains embroiled in controversy over his shock UK travel ban.
The 12-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye was spotted enjoying the first day of the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, without either of her famous parents by her side.
North fully embraced the festival’s free-spirited dress code in a bold goth-inspired look, pairing an oversized black-and-white graphic T-shirt with tiny shorts and chunky black leather platform boots complete with statement straps.
She wore her now-signature bright blue hair loose around her shoulders and piled on plenty of jewellery to complete the cool-girl ensemble.
© InstagramThe budding style star – who has also been linked to rumours of a future jewellery venture, appeared totally at ease as she explored the festival grounds with her close friend Sophia, known on Instagram as @starxxsophia.
Ahead of arriving at the festival, North shared a snap of the pair together, giving fans a glimpse of their Coachella plans.
While Kim did not appear to be at the festival, North was still surrounded by family, with her aunts Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner all reportedly attending the star-studded event.
