Nicola Peltz Beckham is all about protecting her skin from sun damage, thanks to the beauty lessons she learned from a young age.
“My mom [Claudia Heffner Peltz], from when I was little, was so strict about sunblock. I’m happy she made me wear it as a kid, because now that I’m older, I am [also] so strict with it,” she tells PEOPLE.
Though, the actress and director, 30, admits that one major sun care slip-up made her take take her routine even more seriously.
“The Sunday of our wedding [weekend] I wore sunblock on my face, but not my neck to my arms. I got so burned,” she remembers of the day after her nuptials to Brooklyn Beckham that took place in April 2022 on Palm Beach, Fla.
Forgetting to apply proper protection on the upper half of her body not only caused redness (“I was like a lobster,” Peltz Beckham recalls), but also a lasting imprint of her wedding gown that she calls her “invisible dress.”
After a dermatologist confirmed that her marks could likely “last years” [according to UF Health a burn can have long-term effects depending on the damage done to the skin cells], Peltz Beckham knew she had to double down on her already rigorous routine. These days, she’s been doing that with the help of European skin care brand ISDIN.
The company, founded in 1975, just debuted the Fusion Water Magic SPF 40 sunscreen, which has been fitting nicely into Peltz Beckham’s everyday glam.
“This one really lays so beautifully under your makeup because it’s hydrating,” she praises of the launch, a hyaluronic acid and vitamin E-infused formula that has a melt-in-your-skin quality to it. And, because it guarantees a zero-white-cast finish, Peltz Beckham says it’s a power player in her makeup base routine too.
Come nighttime, she puts the sunscreen away and grabs ISDIN’s Melatonik Serum, a restorative product made with melatonin, bakuchiol and vitamin C to stimulate natural antioxidant defenses and restore elasticity.

Whether she’s getting glam or stripping the day away with her favorite products, Peltz Beckham does her beauty rituals with intention. “It’s fun. Even if I get home late with Brooklyn… it’s a [moment] to wind down,” she says. As for her man? Well, his steps are almost obsolete. “The boy uses body wash for his face,” she tells PEOPLE. “He doesn’t even wear moisturizer.”
As she’s evolved in her own skin care journey, Peltz Beckham says she’s given herself more grace.
“In middle school or high school, if I were to get or a pimple, I would be like, ‘I have to cover this.’ It would really affect me,” she says. Now, she doesn’t hide from imperfections. “By the way, I definitely [still] have those days, but I try to look at makeup as enhancing rather than covering everything.”
