The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jessi Ngatikaura has a word — or two — for the online trolls judging her for agreeing to dye her 3-year-old daughter’s hair.
“All Jovi wanted for her 3rd birthday was pink hair.. what the queen wants, the queen gets!” the reality TV star, 33, wrote via Instagram on Friday, January 9, alongside a video of the temporary dyeing process, which included a very pink-colored bath.
“And to the trolls, it’s just shampoo that dip dyes the lightest parts of her hair for a few weeks,” the mom of two continued in the caption. “Calm down.”
The video ends with the 3-year-old checking out her new hair color in the mirror, after her mom carefully dried and styled her new locks.
“You like the pink?” Jessi asks her daughter as she brushes her hair while looking at herself in the mirror.
“Uh huh,” the child responds.
“Are you a princess now?” Jessi asks.
“Uh huh,” her daughter says, before giving a funny (read: adorable!) pose to the camera.
Jessi shares daughter Jovi, born January 2023, and son Jagger, born April 2020, with her husband, Jordan Ngatikaura. Jessi is also stepmom to daughter Peyton from Jordan’s previous marriage.
Jessi made headlines recently after confirming her affair with Marciano Brunette, revealing even more details about the scandal to Us Weekly in November 2025.
“It was surreal [rewatching season 3 back]” Jessi exclusively told Us ahead of the show’s November 12, 2025, return. “I feel like half the time I could just tell I was struggling. I just felt like I was empty when I was watching it. So that was really hard for me — especially because I know the emotion I was feeling in certain scenes. But it also was kind of therapeutic to watch it back and see it from a different lens because it’s now been a few months and I healed a little more.”
Jessi went on to explain that the affair lasted “about two weeks, so it was quick,” adding that she connected with Marciano after confiding in him about her marriage.
“The dynamic with Jordan that I had had in my marriage, I hadn’t really talked to anyone about it,” she explained to Us. “My family and friends had been aware because they’d seen things but I tried to be like, ‘Everything’s fine.”
She continued, “Jordan would put me down a lot. Marciano told me how pretty and cool and fun I was. I felt like there was a connection there because he was giving me something I was lacking. But I wouldn’t say I was in love with him.”
Jessi went on to reveal that she had been discussing the possibility of divorce with Jordan “over the last four years,” adding that there were moments when she “almost filed.” Still, she doesn’t condone the affair, but does consider it a “blessing in disguise” as it forced both her and Jordan to work on their relationship.
“I shouldn’t have done it. But looking back, I think it was a subconscious cry for help,” she recalled. “‘If I do something so intense and serious, maybe I’ll have no choice and a divorce will happen.’ I didn’t do it thinking that, but looking back, I think I felt like that was the only way I could get out of what I was in when he found out about the affair.”
Despite their relationship hardships, Jessi told Us her and Jordan are “back together” and a work in progress.
“We’ve been in therapy since all of this and that’s helped a lot,” she detailed. “There’s things I needed to work on, there’s things Jordan needed to work on and we’re both actively doing that. We’re both making steps to improve and get better.”
She concluded: “I feel like it’s going to be a journey that takes time. We’re trying to make it work and we are just taking it day by day to see if we can make those changes happen.”
