Molly Ringwald revealed that one âdifficultâ co-worker ruined her experience working on âThe Secret Life of the American Teenager.â
While appearing on Tuesdayâs episode of âWatch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,â the âSixteen Candlesâ actress was asked to rank her previous projects, placing her favorite in the tenth spot and her least favorite in the first.
âThe worst is one?â Ringwald asked when the 2008 drama series was mentioned before placing the show in the lowest slot, confirming, âThat was it. The worst.â
âIt was a hard, I mean⊠OK, I love the cast. I love Shailene Woodley,â Ringwald, 58, shared about her experience on the show.
âThere was one person that was really difficult. And Iâm not gonna say who that one person is [but] they brought it down to a one,â the actress revealed.
Ringwald, who did not disclose whether the person was a fellow actor or someone in the crew, appeared in 96 episodes of the coming-of-age show during its five-season run between 2008 and 2013.
The âBreakfast Clubâ star played Anne Juergens, the mother of lead character Amy Juergens, portrayed by Woodley, who became unexpectedly pregnant at 15 years old.
The show followed Woodleyâs character as she navigated complex relationships with family and friends amid her teen pregnancy.
The ABC Family program also starred actors such as Mark Derwin, Ken Baumann, Daren Kagasoff, India Eisley, Francia Raisa, Greg Finley, Steve Schirripa and more.
The Golden Globe nominee, on the other hand, had only praise for her 1986 film, âPretty in Pink,â ranking the film in the highest possible spot.
âThat was pretty great⊠Iâll give that a 10,â Ringwald replied when Cohen asked her about the experience filming the popular rom-com.
The actress, who added that âPretty in Pinkâ was her third film working with screenwriter John Hughes, said, âIt was written for me. He wrote the movie for me,â when discussing her fond memories of the film.
