Mindy Kaling has a new show.
On Tuesday – the very same day she was being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame – came word that the actress, writer, and producer has a new series in production with Hulu.
The Office alum has created the comedy Not Suitable For Work, according to Variety.
The show, which had been under the working title ‘Murray Hill’ since first being reported in April 2024, ‘centers around five work-obsessed twenty-somethings striving for professional success and, if they have time, personal happiness in Manhattan’s most glamorous neighborhood, Murray Hill.’
Kaling, 45, will serve as creator and executive producer on the upcoming series, while Charlie Grandy is working under the titles of showrunner and executive producer.
This will be the third time she has collaboration with Hulu after previously bringing her comedy The Mindy Project to the streamer for its final three seasons after originally airing on Fox, and co-creating Four Weddings And A Funeral series adaptation in 2019.
The news about Not Suitable For Work being up and running also comes right before another one of her new shows, Running Point, premieres on Netflix on February 27.

The sports comedy series, starring Kate Hudson in the lead role, was co-created by Kaling, along with Elaine Ko, Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen.
The Cambridge, Massachusetts has also been keeping busy this year wrapping up the third season of The Sex Lives Of College Girls, and working on the screenplay for a third Legally Blonde film, with Reese Witherspoon reprising her role as Elle Woods, according to People.
Earlier on Kaling’s very special day on Tuesday saw her looking stylish, while showing off her lean figure, as she received her star on the Walk Of Fame.
The prolific show creator, writer and producer had a special someone, actor BJ Novak, by her side for the festivities.
During her speech she called Novak, whom she dated from 2004 to 2007, an ‘important and integral’ part of her family.
The two have said for years they are just pals these days, but they looked like much more than friends when he kissed her, gave her a hug, and held on to her arm at times during her ceremony that took place on Hollywood Boulevard.
Many fans seem to think they are an item because he is very often by her side at parties and red carpet events, like the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
They also tend to gush about each other during interviews.

Kaling rarely mentions her family, but she made a point to say Novak is a part of it on Tuesday.
She has daughters Anne, 12 months, Katherine, seven, and son Spencer, four. And while Kaling has never shared who the father of her children is, many people suspect it is BJ.
Neither he nor Mindy seem to have moved on with other partners in the wake of their split, which could be another suggestion they are romantic and not just platonic.
She has said in the past the baby daddy rumor does not ‘bother’ her.
The Never Have I Ever writer has also been in the news for the past two years for her dramatic weight loss as she seems to have shed at least 80lbs.
Novak, 45, had a lot to say during Tuesday’s ceremony in Hollywood.
He wore a light brown toned suit as he sang her praises to the crowd that included Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song.
‘Mindy respects and understands [fame] in a very intuitive way because in addition to being a brilliant and wildly successful showrunner, an incredible mother of three, a deep and caring daughter and friend and mentor to so many,’ he shared, via People.
‘You’d be on the walk of talent if they had one,’ he added.
‘You’d be on the walk of friendship. You’d be on the walk of compassionate parenthood, but let’s face it all of these would be terrible field trips, so here you are instead, very deservedly, a person who means so much to so many on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.’

The famed star of such hits as The Office and The Mindy Project – who graduated from Dartmouth in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in playwriting – looked sensational during her honored day.
The six-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee, who is of Indian heritage, wore a sleeveless black dress with a poofy hem.
She added diamond jewelry, such as a necklace, bracelet and ring. The earrings and one of her bracelets were by LabLove.
Her black point heels also had sparkly stones on the ankle strap, tying the sophisticated look together.
