Millie Bobby Brown’s daughter makes rare appearance in sweet photo

Millie Bobby Brown shared insight into her sweet bond with her baby daughter, whose name is yet unknown, as the actress celebrated her 22nd birthday with her family.

The Stranger Things star took to Instagram to post a rare photo of her child sitting on the beach at sunset, clad in a beige hooded onesie. She sat beside her daughter in the photo, sporting a large beige jacket with a Jack Russell design stitched into the back.

“22. Grateful for my husband and daughter. For my family and friends. All of my animals. I am so blessed. Thank you for the birthday wishes. Xoxo,” she wrote in the caption, prompting an outpouring of birthday wishes from fans and several comments on her baby. “Your first birthday as a mother,” wrote one fan, while another added: “Best girls!!! So cuteeee [sic].”

Millie and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, adopted their baby in 2025 and shared the happy news in a statement in August. “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” they wrote.

The proud parents have fiercely protected their child’s privacy since her arrival, and ensure to obscure her face when sharing photos online. Millie affirmed her desire to keep her baby out of the spotlight after she was asked about the bub’s budding personality in a Vogue interview.

“I’m not going to [do that]. For me, it’s really important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to potentially one day share it herself,” the new mom explained.

“It’s not my place to purposefully put her in the spotlight unwillingly. If she chooses to share her personality one day with the world, like I did when I was young, that’s something we’d support. But right now, as she’s so little…As her parents, it’s our job to protect her from that.”

Millie added that she wouldn’t reveal her baby’s name until “she’s ready to decide for herself”. Millie and Jake, who wed in 2024, have received the support of their parents amid the adoption, including from Jake’s famous father, rocker Jon Bon Jovi.  

“It’s crazy, but great. Wonderful,” he said on the Dumb Blonde podcast about being a grandfather.

“They adopted a girl, we met the baby, obviously, and immediately that becomes your grandchild, you know what I mean? It’s beautiful. I want to see pictures, like, every other day. I’m that pain in the butt guy already, and yeah, it’s cool.”

Jon added that he adored Millie, who was just 20 years old when she married his son. “They got married really young, but we blessed it because we get it, you know?” he said. “They’re sort of mature beyond their years. She comes from a family where her parents are still together, and they married very young.”

“Her and Jake fell in love, and we just thought, ‘Okay, we’ll support this. And it’s working out. She’s a sweetheart, and she’s a hard worker. I tell her all the time how much I admire her, because her work ethic is unbelievable,” he shared.
