Miles Teller Says Wife Keleigh Won’t Be with Taylor Swift This Super Bowl: ‘She’s a Diehard Birds Fan’ (Exclusive)

Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh Sperry won’t be sporting Kansas City Chiefs-red at the Super Bowl this time around.

In a conversation surrounding his new Apple Original Films thriller The Gorge, Teller, 37, tells PEOPLE he and Sperry, 32, — who supported the Chiefs in Taylor Swift’s Super Bowl suite last year — will attend the Feb. 9 game in New Orleans as the Philadelphia Eagles hope to end Kansas City’s reign.

The Top Gun: Maverick star is from Downington, Pennsylvania and a passionate Eagles fan. “Thankfully, when I was at the Chiefs’ last Super Bowl, they weren’t playing the Eagles,” says Teller.

But this year, “I’m going to be in a sea of green,” the actor says.

Sperry is close friends with Swift, 35, but when the Eagles and Chiefs face off in the big game, the actress and model will be cheering against the popstar’s boyfriend Travis Kelce and his teammates.

“She’s a diehard Birds fan,” Teller shares, noting that the couple has “friends” on the opposing team, “But no, she’s an Eagles fan, baby,” says the actor.

“She might be a Southern California girl, but you marry into Philadelphia sports and that is it,” he teases.

Sperry and Teller joined Swift and her group at the Chiefs’ 2024 Super Bowl win in Las Vegas. The star-studded suite also included Ice Spice, Blake Lively, Ashley Avignone, Lana Del Rey and the soon-to-be-retired Jason Kelce, who happily supported his brother and cheered for Kansas City over the San Francisco 49ers.

After the game, Sperry shared photos from the suite and wrote, “INSANITY, what a night😂😂😂 Lana and I recovered. CONGRATS 🎉🎉.”

“Best day with my Chiefs fam. One for the books 🏈💥,” she added with a “Super Bowl” hashtag.

The Eagles and Chiefs last met in the Super Bowl in 2023 when both Jason, 37, and Travis competed with their respective teams. Travis and the Chiefs pulled out the win at the cleverly-dubbed “Kelce Bowl.”

Teller and Anya-Taylor Joy star in The Gorge as two highly-trained operatives appointed to posts in guard towers on opposite sides of a vast and mysterious gorge, protecting the world from an undisclosed threat. The movie premieres globally on Apple TV+ February 14.
