Michelle Williamsâ Christmas is looking low-key this year.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the actress/singer â who is currently starring in Death Becomes Her on Broadway â opened up about her holiday plans and why sheâs not âdoing anythingâ this year.
âWe actually have Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off,â Williams, 45, tells PEOPLE of the Broadway show. âI donât know what Iâm going to do yet because I donât know if I want to be in the airport on those days.â
She also explains that the day after Christmas she needs to return to her role as Viola Van Horn in Death Becomes Her.
âThose two days are a tease for me because Iâd have to leave here on Christmas Eve, [and] Iâd have to return Christmas Day to be prepared for the two shows the next day, she explains. âIt doesnât look like Iâm going anywhere, doing anything.â
Williams also recently told PEOPLE what it was like having her Destinyâs Child bandmates, BeyoncĂ©Â and Kelly Rowland, reunite on the opening night of her current show.
âIt was an absolute joy having them there because I know theyâre fans of the movie,â she said.
Williams also revealed that BeyoncĂ©, 43, and Rowland, 43, often end up âtrading lines of the movie that they know.â
For the âHeard a Wordâ musician, having the pair at her big night helped her feel âanchored.â
âWe obviously have not been touring together for years, but it took me back to the time when Iâd been with them on stage,â she said. âEven though they werenât on stage with me, I felt so grounded. Itâs giving me some fuel for the rest of my run in the show.â
