Michelle Keegan proved why she was still one of the internet’s leading style icons when she stepped out in a simple, yet chic, pared-back ensemble that emulated the 90s It-girls’ wardrobe.
The 38-year-old Fool Me Once star shared a recent outfit on her Instagram Stories and told followers where she had sourced her fashion inspiration for that particular look.
Stepping out of a front door in a very sunny location, the mum-of-one chose a pair of dark denim low-rise jeans with a frayed hem for her casual outing and added a plain white Tshirt to complete the ensemble.
Carrying a massively oversized handbag in chocolate brown suede, she clipped a black claw-clip onto the handle and matched her ballet flats with the colour and material of the large accessory.
Channelling the internet’s favourite cool girl, following the release of Disney+’s Love Story series, Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, Michelle left her hair to hang around her shoulders in messy, natural waves and pulled off a no-styling look.
She finalised her outfit with a pair of skinny black oval sunglasses, two bracelets and a simple gold chain. The star captioned her picture with: “90s gal 4eva”.
Michelle’s a cool mum
Despite welcoming her daughter only a little over a year ago, the Our Girl actress has been posting up a storm in sophisticated, chic outfits and beautifully styled hair and makeup.
Michelle and her husband, former TOWIE star Mark Wright, 39, revealed they had given birth to their first child together last March, a little girl they were naming Palma Elizabeth Wright.
Mark previously opened up about his daughter’s unique name during an appearance on This Morning a month after her birth. He revealed it has nothing to do with the Spanish holiday destination Palma de Mallorca, where he and Michelle regularly visit in the summer months when she is not filming.
“We just love the name, Palmer, with an ‘E-R’,” he explained. “And then we just liked putting an ‘A’ on it, which is like the way it read. So yeah, we just love the name, really.”
Michelle and Mark tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in May 2015 at St Mary’s Church in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. After the church service, guests enjoyed a wedding dinner at the nearby Tudor mansion, Hengrave Hall.
