Michael Strahan threw a reporter’s phone in a bush after being asked about his national anthem controversy.
In a video obtained by the Daily Mail, the “Good Morning America” anchor snatched the device when he saw the journalist waiting outside of his New York City home on Tuesday.
“Don’t come to my house,” Strahan repeatedly said as he grabbed the phone and tossed it.
Reps for the TV personality did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Per the outlet, the reporter was at Strahan’s home to ask about the ongoing backlash after he did not put his hand over his heart for the national anthem during the “Fox NFL Sunday” special Veterans Day broadcast.
Cameras at Naval Base San Diego captured Strahan, 52, standing with his arms down, while other members of the Fox crew stood with their hands over their hearts.
The broadcasters were surrounded by hundreds of Navy service members saluting the American flag.
Strahan was slammed on social media and accused of being “disrespectful” toward the men and women who have served in the US military.
“What the hell is wrong with Michael Strahan!? On effing Veterans Day! Boo … Not cool,” one person wrote on X. Another added, “So disrespectful!!!”
“shame on the NFL and Strahan,” a third chimed in, while another person suggested Strahan should be fired.
However, Strahan took to Instagram Monday to honor his “hero” father, Major Gene W. Strahan Sr., who served in the army for 23 years.
“Thank you to all veterans and active service members who courageously risk their lives to protect us every day. Your selfless service is beyond measure,” he captioned the photos of his dad.
Fox Sports personality Jay Glazer, who was standing by Strahan during the national anthem, also defended his pal on social media.
“I’ve just seen the criticism of [Michael Strahan],” Glazer wrote in a lengthy message posted to X.
“Let me tell you this, I don’t know if I have a friend who is more proud of his military roots than Michael, growing up on an army base constantly talking about what he learned from his dad Major Gene Strahan and how his time there shaped him. I heard it CONSTANTLY, still do!”
“I know these days people want to be angry fast but maybe first, how is THIS for a novel idea. ASK him if he’s protesting something,” Glazer added. “When you protest you want people to know, don’t ya? He was NOT, just got caught up in how beautiful the whole moment was during the anthem and didn’t think about it.”
