Jadyn Cree has a bright future ahead of her — just ask Michael Bublé.
On Monday, March 10, Cree took the stage with her fellow Team Bublé contestant Braxton Garza and sang “Danny’s Song” for the battle round.
After the performance, each coach offered feedback for both contestants — but the winner of the battle was the Canadian crooner’s decision to make.
“I thought it was flawless. Jadyn, I don’t think you know how great you are. You could win this show, for sure,” Bublé, 49, told the contestant, whose father, season 25 finalist Bryan Olesen, was watching from the audience.
During a one-on-one interview after the decision, Bublé called Jadyn a “superstar.”
“Not only do I see Jadyn fitting in with the big pop stars of today, Olivia [Rodrigo], Billie Eilish, but she has that spark, that thing that we cannot articulate or explain,” he said. “Part of it is that I think she’s truly humble.”
Meanwhile, coach John Legend — who was Olesen’s coach — told the “Home” singer she’s going to be “one of your best contestants.”
Cree auditioned for the show with Paramore’s “Still Into You” and received chair turns from Bublé and coach Kelsea Ballerini. Olesen, who was watching from side-stage, was brought to tears by the moment.
“My dad definitely left some big shoes to fill,” she said before going onstage. “I’m excited to make him proud and try my best to get anywhere close to where he got in this competition.”
When the coaches turned their chairs, Legend said she looked “familiar” before he realized her father was his contestant. The “All of Me” singer, 46, then confessed he had “FOMO (fear of missing out).”
Meanwhile, coach Adam Levine said he felt like he “missed out” by not turning his chair. “I think you’re going to really go far on this show, because I think there’s nobody like you,” he added.
During his time on the show, Olesen made it to the finale with Legend and ended up in third place. The winner that season was Asher HaVon.
The battles will continue on Monday, March 17 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
