Mia Goth is all-in when it comes to method dressing for the promotion of her latest film, “Frankenstein.”
Attending a New York City screening for the Netflix release, Goth chose a sheer black dress designed by Ferragamo.
The sleeveless look featured a mid-length shift shape with black shearling around her hips and a semi-sheer lace band around her chest. These strategically placed fabric embellishments were a clever way to ensure no unwanted wardrobe malfunctions while also adding texture and drama.
Ads for her jewelry, Goth partnered with Tiffany & Co., as the design house hosted the film’s after party at their newly revamped flagship store, The Landmark.
The actress’ monochromatic outfit was contrasted with bright diamonds set in a Leaves necklace, Multiplication earrings and a large diamond Ailsa ring, all designed by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co.
Goth’s dark wardrobe selection echoed her look at the movie’s Los Angeles premiere earlier this month, where she wore a Christian Dior mini dress made of sheer black lace with visible briefs underneath.
And, while the star opted for a purple gown while promoting the film in London a week ago, that dress was totally sheer in keeping with her thematic wardrobe choices.
The 31-year-old is leaning into the gothic nature of the film, making sure to bring a little bit of her character to every promotional event and red carpet.
She joins leading ladies, including Margot Robbie, Demi Moore, and Jenna Ortega in embracing the trend of method dressing on press tours. Of course, it helps when you’re a Hollywood star who can choose an equally stylish character to portray on and off screen.
