Melania Trump has broken her silence on the pervasive rumors surrounding her husband, Donald Trump, and his executive assistant, Natalie Harp, which reached a fever pitch in August.
The mother of one opened up about Natalieâs devotion to Donald and the rumors surrounding their close relationship via her senior advisor, Marc Beckman, who spoke to journalist Stella Escobedo on Wednesday.
Melaniaâs feelings revealed
âThe liberal media is ridiculous,â he began, referring to the extensive coverage of Donald and Natalieâs close bond. âThey donât know anything about the First Ladyâs personal and private life. They donât even take the time to put us on air to cover these incredible achievements that our First Lady has accomplished.â
âWhat they need to do is look in the mirror because theyâre all attacking this hardworking, very talented, very intelligent person in Natalie Harp,â Marc continued.
âAnd theyâre obsessed with the gossip with the First Family. And I can tell you firsthand that itâs time for them to become journalists and stop looking at the gossip.â
Marc concluded: âThe media doesnât know about the First Familyâs life. Period. And what they do is they harp on the issues of gossip rather than going ahead and covering the substantial achievements that this First Lady and the President also have conducted during this past year and a half.â

Who is Natalie Harp?
Media coverage surrounding the 35-year-old aide kicked off in August after Senator Jon Ossoff quipped at a rally that Donald âdoesnât want to do the job,â but rather âhe wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalieâ. Â
The comment spurred many to take a closer look at Natalie, who has been working for Donald since 2022, and his words led to a dramatic response from the White House via the director of communications, Steven Cheung.
âJon [Ossoff] has to be the biggest [expletive] loser in politics. Instead of denigrating hard-working people serving their country, Jon should look deep into his soul and ask himself why heâs a miserable person who hates this country,â Steven wrote on X.
It was later revealed by The Daily Beast that Natalie had sent deeply personal messages to Donald during her time at the White House, including one that read: âI want things to always be right between us,â and another that stated: âYou are all that matters to me. I donât want to ever let you down. Thank you for being my Guardian and Protector in this Life.â
Meanwhile, Melania was absent from public life for a month between July and August, before stepping out at the White House on August 20 to speak about her Fostering the Future campaign.
Donaldâs $45,000 gift
Natalie and Donaldâs relationship has been thrust under the spotlight again after it was revealed in financial disclosures that he had gifted her $45,000, and gave money to three other staff members.Â
Federal employees cannot receive compensation beyond their salaries, but the White House spokesman Davis Ingle defended Donaldâs move in a statement, saying that the businessman âhas a longstanding practice of giving Christmas gifts to people in his orbit, including at times employees and aides, both in government and in his time in the private sectorâ.
âThe gifts at issue here have nothing to do with any of these individualsâ official government duties, and are entirely permissible under relevant legal and ethical standards,â David added.
