Meghan Trainor is getting candid about her decision to undergo a breast lift.
“I think I was born with saggy boobs. I swear, they were always looking at the ground,” Trainor, 31, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “So this is a big deal for me. I’m getting a boob job. I’m getting a lift.”
The decision to undergo the cosmetic procedure is a practical one for the pop star, who has been open about her struggles to breastfeed her sons Riley — who turns 4 in February, and Barry, 18 months — after they were born.
“Listen, these don’t make milk. So when I have more children, these don’t make milk anyways. So it’s time to lift my boobs, I’m so excited,” adds the “Criminals” singer, who will drop a 10th-anniversary rerelease of her debut album Title on March 28.
Still, Trainor — who just teamed up with e.l.f. Cosmetics for a Title-inspired product bundle— admits she felt nervous about the operation.
“I’m very scared. I’ve never had big surgery, except for my two C-sections,” she says. “So I’m going to have new boobs, and I’m really excited about it.”
Trainor first revealed her plans for the breast lift on her Workin’ on It podcast with her husband, Spy Kids actor Daryl Sabara, 32, and her brother Ryan Trainor.
“They got big, they got small, they got big, they got small,” Trainor explained on the podcast of her breasts changing after she became a mom. “I’ve lost some weight, and I have … just like saggy sacks as boobs.”
The Grammy winner said “I have wanted this my whole life” and that the procedure would “be huge for my confidence.”
“I’m just getting a lift,” she clarified at the time. “Maybe a little implant just so they’re like, ‘We are boobs,’ ‘cause right now, they are not. But I love them, love my body, and I’ve been wanting this for years.”
