Before Joseph Duggar’s March 2026 arrest for allegedly molesting a 9-year-old, the “19 Kids and Counting” alum started a family with wife Kendra Caldwell.
The couple regularly documented their lives on a joint Instagram account between 2019 and 2021 — but abruptly stopped posting amid Josh Duggar’s child porn scandal.
In Joseph and Caldwell’s final upload, the former reality stars wished their eldest daughter, Addison, a happy 2nd birthday.
Joseph was taken into custody five years later over his alleged behavior during a 2020 family vacation and charged with lewd and lascivious behavior involving a victim younger than the age of 12 and lewd and lascivious behavior toward a victim aged 18 or older.
The businessman’s family members have yet to release a statement regarding his headline-making detainment.

Kendra Caldwell
Joseph began courting Caldwell in March 2017 after meeting at church five years prior.
The “Counting On” alum proposing to his partner two months later at sister Joy-Anna Duggar’s wedding.
“We … look forward to a lifetime together,” the duo wrote in a May 2017 statement. “We are so grateful for how the Lord brought us together, and we look forward to this special time of engagement and to some day serving Christ as man and wife.”
The couple tied the knot in Arkansas in September 2017.
On their third anniversary, Caldwell raved over her husband, writing, “There are so many things that I admire about you but one thing that has really been apparent is how truly selfless you are. … I love you to the moon and back😍.”
Garrett David Duggar
Three months after walking down the aisle, the newlyweds announced their first child was on the way.
“During this season that we are celebrating the birth of Christ, we are so excited to share with you that we are expecting the gift of a child ourselves!” Duggar and Caldwell gushed in December 2017. “Wow, it’s so exciting!!!
“We’ve both always loved children and seen them as a real blessing from God,” they continued. “It’s so surreal to think of being parents and having our own little one. We cannot wait to see this new baby!”
Their son, Garrett, arrived in June 2018.
In a 1st birthday tribute, the toddler’s parents gushed, “You have brought so much joy just seeing you explore all of the firsts in life! You love to explore with your little fingers, little hands and little feet.”
They described him on his 2nd birthday as “such a fun happy little guy” who “love[s] to be outside and [has] the best belly laugh.”
Addison Renee Duggar
Caldwell announced the “exciting news” that she was pregnant with baby No. 2 in April 2019, and baby girl Addison was born that November.
The infant’s Instagram debut was captioned, “We are already so in love with her! She made a quick arrival in the early hours of the morning and has already melted our hearts. We know Garrett is going to be a great big brother.”
In November 2020, Addison’s parents labeled her “fun and spunky” while celebrating her first year.
Brooklyn Praise Duggar
The couple announced in August 2020 that their family was expanding, calling their third child a “surprise.”
They wrote, “We have a tie-breaker coming! … Garrett has already been such a loving big brother to Addison and we look forward to Addison’s reaction to a life size baby doll.”
The newborn arrived in February 2021, appearing on Instagram only a handful of times before Caldwell and Joseph’s hiatus.
Baby No. 4
While Joseph and Caldwell have yet to confirm they have a fourth child, rumors swirled in the summer of 2023.
At the time, Jinger Duggar and Jill Duggar vlogged their trip to see family in Arkansas — and Caldwell made an appearance with a baby on her hip dressed in a blue onesie.
It remains unclear whether the little one belonged to Caldwell or was one of her siblings’ children as YouTube users speculate she secretly welcomed baby No. 4.
