Meet the striking actress being dubbed ‘the most beautiful woman in the world’

While fans have praised her talents on screen, her beauty hasn’t gone unnoticed either. Ella’s dark hair, flawless skin, smoky doe eyes, and beaming smile have earned her the title of the “most beautiful woman in the world,” with comparisons to Hollywood royalty like Julia Roberts and Rachel Weisz.

“It’s like all the pretty girls from 90s romantic comedies had a daughter,” one person wrote on social media about Ella’s striking good looks.

“Imagine this: you’re the lead of Prime Video #1 show, everyone is praising your talent and comparing your face to the most beautiful women in the world including Anne Hathaway, Julia Roberts, Rachel Weisz, Winona Ryder…” another said.

A third added: “She’s unreal. This is genuinely a face people would go to war for.” Another wrote: “Ella Rubin looks like she’s straight out of a renaissance painting.”

Prime Video’s “heartfelt” coming-of-age series created by Megan Park features Ella as 17-year-old Annie Jacobson, who suddenly inherits her grandfather’s island in Canada, sparking new friendships and blossoming romances.

The full synopsis reads: “The series is led by 17-year-old Annie Jacobson (Ella Rubin). Raised in New York City with her twin brother (Keen Ruffalo) and loving adoptive father (Jay Duplass), Annie’s life takes a turn when she inherits her mysterious grandfather’s island in Canada. There, she finds new friends, budding romances and untold family secrets.”

Ella leads the cast as Annie. She’s joined by Keen Ruffalo as Annie’s brother, Connor, and Jay Duplass as her dad, Steven. 

Speaking about working with the Canadian actress-director, Ella recently told The Hollywood Reporter: “Megan really prioritizes an actor’s wants and needs. Often it’s too scary to say it or voice it, and I think because we got to know each other so well in the process of collaborating, she often would know what I needed.”

Ella most recently appeared alongside Elle Fanning in Hulu’s The Girl From Plainville, the Netflix limited series The Chair and HBO Max’s Gossip Girl reboot. 

She also portrayed Anne Hathaway’s daughter in The Idea of You and starred in Anora, and Fear Street: Prom Queen. Other credits include The Rewrite, Difficult People, Billions and Unforgettable. In 2019, she made her Broadway debut opposite Marisa Tomei in Tennessee Williams’ The Rose Tattoo.

She will next appear in the Netflix adaptation of Liz Moore’s novel The God of the Woods, alongside Maya Hawke and Kerry Condon.

Sharing her excitement over the show, Ella told Entertainment Tonight: “That project has been so awesome. Liz Moore is really, really brilliant. The highlight of that is she wrote a really complicated, at time unlikeable, sort of strange, troubled character and I think she’s really not afraid to go there with writing women in particular.”

Ella dreamed of becoming an artist before an agent at her after-school theatre programme’s showcase led her to pursue acting professionally. She still draws on inspiration from art to help her get into the characters she’s playing.

“When looking for inspiration, I go more specific to the character. I’ll journal in character, I like to make playlists, and I watch other performances,” she told MTV in 2021. “And also, looking at art – visiting museums can unexpectedly draw out a spark. I love the photographers Nan Goldin and Guy Bourdin.”

Ella has not publicly commented on her private relationships, so it’s unclear whether she is dating anyone. However, she has been linked to actor Skyler Gisondo, who starred in The Righteous Gemstones, Booksmart, and Superman – he will also star opposite Ariana Grande in the upcoming Focker-In-Law – since 2024.

The pair have attended several events together since they were pictured at the premiere of Masters of the Air in January 2024, including a Knicks game 12 months later, an “immersive experience” related to her movie Fear Street: Prom Queen in May 2025, and the Vanity Fair and Amazon MGM Studios awards-season party in January 2026.

Despite the cozy photos of them together, neither has confirmed nor denied their romance. However, last year, Skyler did confirm that he has a girlfriend during an interview with Young Hollywood.
