Meet Ronda Rousey’s 6’6 MMA star husband

Travis was born in Oahu, Hawaii, and has very fond memories of his childhood.

“For me, it was a typical childhood, but I was a little rough around the edges,” he told UFC in 2011. “We had very little supervision growing up, so we were able to do pretty much what we wanted to do as kids.”

He added: “Growing up in a Hawaiian household, that’s a toddler’s dream. It’s like you’re being raised in a village with all your aunts and uncles, and your cousins are always around, so there’s always that family feeling you get.”

He has two sons with his ex-wife

Travis shares two sons, Keawe and Kaleo, with his ex-wife, Erin. The former couple married in 2001 and divorced in 2009 after deciding against staying in an unhappy marriage for the sake of their kids.

“I wasn’t happy in my marriage, and I knew the time had come,” Travis told Yahoo! Sports in 2013. “I wanted my kids to see their mother absolutely happy, living the life she wanted, not stuck with someone she didn’t want to be with. She needed to be with someone who treated her right, and it got to the point I wasn’t treating her the way she needed to be treated.”

He added: “I think it’s important for the kids to spend quality time with their parents, and to see their parents happy and loving life, even if it so happens that they live apart. That’s a lot better than having them stay together and be miserable. That can be a toxic situation for the kids, and I didn’t want to expose them to that.” 

He hosts a podcast

Travis and entrepreneur John Fosco co-host the podcast, Tough Business, which is described as “a raw, rough, real, small business survival guide.”

Announcing the podcast in November 2020, Travis wrote on Instagram: “That’s Right!! I’m launching a new podcast next week.. my transition from fighter to aspiring businessman is gonna be broken down and chronicled along w my co-host and business partner @johnfosco.  

“We are gonna teach you how to make something out of nothing when you got nothing.  It’s gonna hurt your feelings, it’s not gonna be nice, but it will be true.  GET READY.”

He married Ronda in 2017

After getting engaged in April 2017, Travis and Ronda tied the knot four months later on August 26, 2017, in a beachside ceremony in Hawaii.

Sharing photos of their wedding day, which saw Ronda looking beautiful in a hand-beaded lace mermaid style gown by designer Galia Lahav, Travis penned on Instagram: “What an amazing day!! She is so perfect in every way! She makes me so happy! She is my other half! I Love You @rondarousey #browsey2017.”

He has 2 kids with Ronda

Travis and Ronda became parents to a daughter, La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne, on September 24, 2021. They welcomed their second daughter, Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha Browne, in January 2025.
