John Stamos celebrated his 63rd birthday on August 19 alongside his wife Caitlin McHugh, 40.
Caitlin shared on social media that the actor wasn’t big on ringing in the festivities for his big day, but she still made this year count.
She captioned the post: “This guy didn’t want a birthday celebration this year, so we’re doing multiple days celebrating! Started with Willy Wonka at @cosm , continuing today and beyond!”
Caitlin gushed: “How could we not celebrate the birth of one of earth’s best humans!” Learn all about his wife, who helped “straighten up.”
Caitlin and John even worked together on the set of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2011.
The entertainer also has a podcast called How Can I Help? which is a philanthropic show focused on providing a platform for people and brands who are leaving a positive impact.
During the time the pair starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Caitlin was already engaged to Massimo Lusardi.
In John’s memoir titled, If You Would Have Told Me: A Memoir, the actor admitted he had a “crush” on his co-star.
He revealed to People: “She was in another relationship. And we just met back up again. Her roommate was on an episode of Fuller House, and so she was in the audience. I walked in, I went, ‘Hey, are you stalking me?’ She was like, ‘No.’ That’s why I love her. She’s like, ‘What? No. I haven’t thought of you twice.'”
John struggled with staying sober and he was greatly thankful for Caitlin for helping him stay on track.
He revealed to People in 2021: “I wasn’t deserving of it yet I think. But six years ago, I sobered up and I became a better person. And when Caitlin came around, I recognized it immediately. I said, ‘I have to be good for that to make it work.'”
The star revealed what the secret to their successful relationship is, expressing: “I forget what the magic ratio is, but I think it’s about having more positive reactions over negative. It’s nice to connect over something else — it’s not always about the kid. We’re still trying to find the balance!”
