Mayim Bialik has some questions about The Bachelor.
The actress and neuroscientist, 49, appeared on a recent episode of The Viall Files podcast, on which she revealed she didnât know how the hit ABC dating show worked. When host Nick Viall asked for her opinions on the women on the upcoming season, Bialik had a shocking response.
âWhatâs the premise?â she asked The Bachelorette alum, 44.
âTwenty-five to 30 women show up and night one they come out,â Viall then explained. âSometimes, people [are] like myself; I blacked out and was really nervous. Some people hang glide down.â
âThe producer was like, âSo, what do you want to do?â I was like, âWell, I was just going to introduce myself,ââ he recalled. âTheyâre like, âWell, weâre not sure, but if you want to parachute in or something, like, you never know.â Sometimes they will do a stunt.â
Viall went on to tell Bialik how the lead narrows down the group.
âNight one, they get anywhere from zero seconds to two minutes of time to make a connection,â he said. âOne person gets whatâs called the âfirst impression rose,â theyâre safe. At the end of the night, the Bachelor hands out a bunch of roses and if you donât get a rose, you go home.â
âBy the end of it, he proposes to one person and gets engaged,â Viallâs wife Natalie Joy added.
As the final rose ceremony approaches, Viall noted that they have âhometown weekâ and âfantasy suite week,â which particularly sparked Bialikâs interest.
âWhat if someone gets pregnant?â The Big Bang Theory alum questioned.Â
âWeâve been hoping!â Viall joked, and Joy said, âThat would be so funny.â
âOn my season, there were a couple [magazine] covers⊠claiming that I might have gotten one of the people pregnant,â Viall recalled. âThat was a rumor.â

Viall has a long history with The Bachelor franchise, first joining Bachelor nation for Andi Dorfmanâs season of The Bachelorette in 2014. He was the runner up, with Dorfman ultimately choosing Josh Murray.
Viall later appeared on Kaitlyn Bristoweâs season in 2015, showing up to a group date in the fourth episode asking to join as a contestant. Bristowe let him, and he once again came in as the runner up.
He then led the third season of Bachelor in Paradise, which aired in 2017, which concluded with him proposing to Vanessa Grimaldi, but the two parted ways soon after. In April 2024, Viall and Joy tied the knot after welcoming their first child together.
