Luke Grimesâ role on Yellowstone and now its new spin-off Marshals may have earned him many fans, but his son doesnât seem to be one of them just yet.
The Kayce Dutton actor has been married to Brazilian model Bianca Rodrigues Grimes since November 2018, and the pair share one son, Rigel Randolph, born in October 2024.Â
Little Rigel is now almost two years old, and while he may certainly be too young to watch Yellowstone or Marshals, thatâs not to say he doesnât find his dadâs role⊠amusing.
Luke, appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, revealed that his sonâs reaction to when he is dressed for work as Kayce is to none other than point and laugh.
The doting dad explained that he recently took Rigel to set to introduce him to everybody, which he was âvery excitedâ about, however, he said: âHe just kept laughing at my cowboy hat the entire time, making me feel very uncool about something Iâm supposed to feel very cool about.â
And while host Jimmy Fallon noted he does look great in the hat, Luke maintained: âI thought so, he does not.â
âIt started with him just pointing and laughing, and then now, when heâs at home, heâll find any big funny thing and put it on his head and start singing a âdada song,'â he went on, sharing that the âdada songâ is just repeating âdadaâ in the tune of the 1969 Steam hit âNa Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye.â
Marshalsâ instant success
Rigel may not yet see the vision of Marshals, which premiered March 1, but upon its premiere, it was an instant hit for CBS.Â
Paramount, in a statement, confirmed days after the premiere that it drew a whopping 9.52 million viewers, per Nielsen numbers.
Itâs a huge milestone for the network, as the show swiftly became the most-watched new scripted series premiere without a football lead-in since 2018, when FBI premiered in September of that year.Â
It is also now officially the most watched new series premiere of the 2025-26 broadcast season, and exhibited an impressive 99% retention from the first half-hour to the second.
The second most-watched broadcast of the week was Justin Hartleyâs Tracker, which is currently in its third season and aired right after Marshals, and had 8.29 million viewers; the episode viewership was up +3% from its fall average. 60 Minutes was third most watched.
