Mark Zuckerberg had something extra special up his sleeve while celebrating wife Priscilla Chan’s birthday — channeling his inner Benson Boone!
Although Chan, a pediatrician who helps run the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, already gave her followers an inside look at her 40th birthday party — including her multiple outfit changes — Zuckerberg just revealed she wasn’t the only member of the family who had a major fashion moment that night.
To help mark the happy occasion, the tech billionaire recreated Boone’s headline-making Grammy’s performance — and a rep for the Meta founder confirms to PEOPLE that the blue jumpsuit he wore for the birthday bash was the same suit Boone wore earlier this month.
“Your wife only turns 40 once!” Zuckerberg, also 40, wrote alongside a video of his epic performance on Instagram on Friday, Feb 28.
He added, “Shoutout to @bensonboone for the jumpsuit and new single.”
The singer-songwriter acknowledged Zuckerberg shortly thereafter in the comments, writing: “I can’t believe my eyes.”
In footage from the big bash, the tech CEO had two people help him rip off his tuxedo to reveal the blue jumpsuit underneath, just like Boone did.
And while Zuckerberg elected to omit Boone’s signature backflip off the piano — although he admitted in a comment to the singer that he considered trying one — the father of three did still jump off the musical instrument, much to Chan’s and other attendees’ delight.
On his Instagram Story, Zuckerberg also seemingly poked fun at another aspect of Boone’s viral performance, which occurred when the best new artist nominee was seen pulling down the crotch of the skin-tight jumpsuit towards the end of his performance.
Acknowledging the viral moment at the time, Boone made a post on Instagram later that night writing, “Sorry for adjusting my jumpsuit so aggressively on stage tonight that thing was aggressively restricting in certain areas.”
Alongside a short video that showed Zuckerberg wearing the suit underneath his tuxedo he quipped, “Ok I get it … it’s pretty snug.”

In her own post about her birthday, Chan wrote that she “turned forty surrounded by family, friends, laughter and dance.”
“I am so so lucky to be so loved,” she added.
