Mark Wahlberg shares new photo of daughter Grace: ‘So proud’

Mark Wahlberg couldn’t be prouder of his youngest daughter.

The Ted actor’s daughter Grace is an avid equestrian, and the doting dad recently cheered her on after winning the EquiFit Leading Junior Jumper Award.

In addition to the 16-year-old, the former rapper and his wife Rhea Durham, who he married in 2009, are also parents to daughter Ella, 22, and sons Michael, 19, and Brendan, 17.

Mark, 54, took to Instagram Monday, March 16 and shared a photo alongside Grace, who appeared in a white exercise shirt and matching riding pants, giving a thumbs up next to her dad, who was holding up her award ribbon.

“So proud of you,” Mark captioned the post, also shouting out his fitwear brand Municipal, which he is wearing in the photo.

Fans were quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over it, with on writing: “Nothing is better than seeing your dad beam with pride on your accomplishment. Go girl!” as others followed suit with: “Way to go amazing Grace!” and: “That ‘Leading Rider’ title says it all. Discipline and drive clearly run in the family. A proud moment for the legacy you’re building, Mark,” as well as: “Congratulations on your achievement!! Your father is bursting with pride!! Absolutely fantastic.”

Desert Horse Park, the show ground in Thermal, California where Grace often competes, also shared a post on Instagram congratulating her. “Congratulations to Grace Wahlberg on winning the EquiFit Leading Junior Jumper Award! As the winner, Wahlberg will receive an EquiFit CustomLab Prize Package. Thank you to @equifit1 for recognizing the extraordinary junior athletes at DIHP!”

Late last year, Grace was hospitalized after suffering from an arm injury after a competition, of which Mark told Access Hollywood: “She’s doing great. It was terrifying. It’s a very, very dangerous sport, but she’s so passionate about it.”

As for Rhea and Mark’s three other children — the family is largely based in Las Vegas — little is known about Rhea and Mark’s sons and whether their eldest, Michael, is currently in college.

The couple’s eldest daughter Ella, meanwhile, is a student at Clemson in South Carolina. “She’s just so happy there,” Mark said in 2023 speaking with TODAY, adding: “She’s really thriving so I understand. Obviously, it’s more difficult for moms, because when you have a child, your own existence revolves around taking care and nurturing this child and helping them grow. But you’re giving life and they go off and do their thing, and hopefully, they come back and spend time with you.”

The Wahlberg-Durham family has been living in Las Vegas since 2022, and have gushed about the decision. Mark, opening up about leaving Los Angeles during an appearance on TODAY in 2023, noted: “You have Las Vegas, and people think automatically, ‘Oh, the Strip.’ But [in] Nevada, there are wonderful communities.”

Though he admitted to missing California and its weather, he added that the kids “are thriving” in their new hometown, and further shared: “I live in a wonderful community that’s really faith-based, great schools. There’s much more to Las Vegas than the Strip.”
