Is Mark Consuelos the next Ghostface? Inquiring minds want to know — including his wife, Kelly Ripa!

While co-hosting their morning talk show LIVE with Kelly and Mark on Wednesday, Jan. 29, the couple revealed that Consuelos, 53, had joined the cast of Scream 7.

“Is that what you’ve been doing behind my back?” joked Ripa, 54, to which her husband replied, “Yes! I had the most amazing time; we were up there in Atlanta.”

Consuelos was notably absent from LIVE with Kelly and Mark last week to film a mystery project, which has now been revealed as Scream 7.

He added of the Scream franchise creator, “Kevin Williamson is fantastic; he wrote the original and then I think wrote the second one as well. And he’s directing this one. It’s great.”

But it wasn’t enough for his wife, who asked, “What can you tell us? Are you the killer?”

“I can tell you nothing. I can tell you absolutely nothing,” Consuelos said.

“You can tell us,” Ripa pressed, unperturbed. “You are the killer, right? Do you die?”

“I can’t tell you anything. Don’t try to get it out of me. But it’s fun,” the Riverdale alum replied, to which Ripa followed up with, “But you’re probably the killer, right?

“I can’t tell you anything. I can’t even look at you!” Consuelos joked. “But I got to work with Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox and a few of the other cast [members].”

Jack Quaid — who, notably, was one of the killers in Scream (2022), the slasher saga’s fifth movie — was also on the show to promote his new horror movie Companion and reflected on his time making Scream.

“The hot guy who comes in is always the killer!” Ripa noted, before Quaid, 32, told Consuelos of his role in the next movie, “If you are the killer, you just did a really good job throwing me off, so you’re already nailing it.”

Scream 7 sees the return of several franchise cast members including veterans Campbell, 51, and Cox, 60, plus new additions Isabel May as the daughter of Campbell’s final-girl character Sidney Prescott and Joel McHale as Sidney’s husband Mark.

Celeste O’Connor, McKenna Grace, Asa Germann and Sam Rechner have also joined the cast, while Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown will reprise their roles from the previous two films, following the exits of Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega.
