Lily Collins quietly welcomed her first child with husband Charlie McDowell via surrogate.

The āEmily in Parisā starās surrogate gave birth earlier this week in Northern California, according to TMZ.
Collinsā celebrity pals were quick to wish her and McDowell congratulations in the comments.

āThis is perfect. So so happy for you four ,šā Amanda Seyfried added, seemingly referencing Collinsā dog Redford.

The 35-year-old actress first sparked dating rumors with the director, 41, in July 2019 after meeting on set of his film,Ā āGilded Rage.ā
āIt was one of those situations where I knew the second I met him that I wanted to be his wife one day,ā Collins later revealed on āLive with Kelly and Mark.ā āSo, it was just a matter of when, really.ā
The pair, who regularly share their romance online, announced their engagement in October 2020.

McDowell ā who is the son of actressĀ Mary SteenburgenĀ and actor Malcolm McDowell āĀ popped the question with a unique ārose-cutā diamond ā which was stolen in May 2023.
The couple tied the knot in September 2021 in a woodsy wedding in Colorado.
Although the pair rarely discussed their family plans, McDowell teased their hope to expand their brood in October 2024.

However, the actor failed to mention that it was already in the works.
