Lily Collins channelled her stylish on-screen Emily In Paris character at a glamorous London party on Monday night. The actress wowed in a chic black ensemble at a star-studded gathering hosted by Maison Perrier at the British Academy.
Lily, 36, turned to French designer Jean Paul Gaultier for her head-turning short-sleeved, full-length sheer dress with a black leotard beneath. The mother-of-one accessorised with a sleek bob, black heels and dark nail polish, as well as elegant silver Cartier jewellery.
Also at the party alongside Lily were Jaime Winstone and Henry Holland. At the event, which was attended by HELLO!, the actress mingled with the British fashion designer, to whom she said: “It’s so lovely to meet you, I have always been a fan.”
Lily’s well-dressed outing comes off the back of the fifth season of Emily In Paris, in which she wore an array of incredible outfits. She also commanded all the attention on the red carpet in another black number at the premiere for the latest instalment of the Netflix series in the French capital in December.
Last week, Lily gave her 29 million fans a peek into motherhood on Instagram. She shared a reel showing her off-screen life with daughter Tove, 12 months, and husband Charlie McDowell. She wrote: “I love this little life. The best family getaway…”
Lily previously revealed the sleepless nights she endured as she “struggled” to balance parenting while filming the show. Speaking to The Sun last year, she admitted: “I said to everyone this year, ‘I’m really good with memorisation, I’m really good with knowing my lines, but this year give me some grace. I’ve not slept, I’m very tired and I may not be on my game.'”
It also comes as she celebrated her famous father Phil Collins’ 75th birthday with a rarely seen photo of the pair. Captioning the sweet selfie on Instagram, she wrote: “Yesterday Dad turned 75 and I feel so grateful to have celebrated together.
“For all you’ve accomplished, all the joy you’ve brought so many all over the world for ALL these years, all the lessons we’ve learned, all the memories we’ve shared, and all the new ones to come, thank you. I count myself so lucky to have hugged you, laughed with you, and reminisced with you on such a monumental day.
“Proud is an understatement. Love you to the moon and back again…” Her emotional tribute followed legendary musician Phil’s update about his ongoing health struggles to Zoe Ball in a BBC interview – the Genesis frontman lives with type 2 diabetes and complications stemming from a serious spinal injury sustained in 2007.
