Lily Allen’s sister Teddie was every inch the image of her popstar sister when she attended the Young Sherlock premiere earlier this week.

Taking to the red carpet, the brunette beauty wore a fabulous corset-style dress, which featured spaghetti straps and a midi hemline. She completed her look with a pair of pointed-toe black stilettos.

Her all-black ensemble matched Teddie’s striking black tresses, which are the image of the mahogany locks rocked by her noughties pop star sibling. Accessorising her look, Teddie added long gold pendant necklaces, mirroring her famous sister’s iconic fashion sense when she first burst into the limelight with her 2006 debut album Alright, Still.

Being Lily’s sister

In an interview with the Sunday Times, Teddie recalled what it was like growing up with a famous sister and father, Keith Allen, who also took part in the chat.

Teddie recalled fond memories growing up with Lily as a sister

Recalling memories from when she was growing up, Teddie said in 2024: “I used to love going to Lily’s house because she had a swimming pool — Nick Grimshaw was there one day and taught me how to dive. Foolishly, when I was about 11, I started googling my family and wish I hadn’t. There was even some horrible stuff about me, saying how awful my name was. I didn’t know these people, so what’s it got to do with them?”

Doing things differently

Keith also opened up about his parenting, revealing that welcoming Teddie as an older dad was easier in many ways than when he was more “self-absorbed” in his 30s.

He explained: “In my early thirties, when Lily was born, I was far more self-absorbed. For someone like me, the responsibilities of being a parent were well, I wasn’t as pleasant as I could have been.

He added, “Life has moved on, and Teddie has definitely benefited from that. Different things take on a greater significance when you’re older. Being at home feels more important than work. You understand the strain that having a child puts on your partner. Simple things like lying with Teddie when she was crying at night felt like a privilege.  I wanted to be there — I didn’t care if I was missing out on some film role. When it comes to work, I do as little as possible these days. I prefer being at home, which wasn’t always the case.”
