Hollywood is mourning the death of One Direction member Liam Payne after he unexpectedly died at the age of 31 on Wednesday.

The UK-born pop star was staying at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, when he fell from the third floor, state police announced.

Heiress Paris Hilton spoke out about the devastating news on X, writing, “So upsetting to hear the news of @LiamPayne passing. Sending love and condolences to his family & loved ones. RIP my friend.”

Wesley Stromberg, from the boy band Emblem3, shared he was “heartbroken.”

“I cannot believe the news about @LiamPayne
such a cool talented dude,” he wrote on X. Absolutely heartbreaking. Rest in Paradise.”

“R.I.P. Liam Payne wow I can’t believe it prayers up for the family,” rapper Juicy J. added.

Several witnesses told TMZ they saw the singer fall after he was behaving erratically around 5 p.m. local time.

The outlet reported that the “Night Changes” singer smashed his laptop and was carried back to his hotel room.

It’s unclear if the fall was an accident or intentional.

Photos obtained by TMZ showed Payne’s body on the hotel’s deck while surrounded by chairs and tables.

The picture didn’t show the “What Makes You Beautiful” crooner’s full body but his tattoos were visible on his arm and hip.

Payne rose to fame alongside his One Direction bandmates, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, in 2010.

He stayed in contact with the boy group since they split in 2015, and most recently attended Horan’s concert at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires earlier this month.

The British icon previously opened up about hitting “rock bottom” and turning to drugs and alcohol while performing with One Direction.

Payne shared 7-year-old son Bear Grey with ex-girlfriend Cheryl Cole, whom he dated from 2016 to 2018.
