Lana Del Rey said Jack Antonoff is one of the reasons she walked down the aisle.
The “Summertime Sadness” singer credited the producer for her “amazing” marriage to alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene.
“Most of all, I’m grateful for [Antonoff], for his example that he gave me in his marriage to Margaret [Qualley],” she said at Variety’s Hitmakers Brunch while presenting her longtime collaborator with the Producer of the Decade award on Saturday.
“I saw the way he looked at her when he met her, and he’s a big reason why I waited so long to get married and why I met my amazing husband.”
Del Rey, 39, said she felt she had been under “a singer’s curse around meeting an honest partner” who is not involved in the music industry.
“It’s super nerve-wracking to hold on to an innocent perception of how things could go when you’re in an industry where maybe your values and your morals don’t quite match up with what’s going on,” she said.
“Especially when people think you probably don’t have any morals or values.”
The pop star concluded her speech by thanking Antonoff, who wed the “Maid” actress, 30, in August 2023, for “helping other people look at me in a way that is a little bit closer to how I perceived myself.”
Del Rey added: “Other than my managers, you really have turned my life around … you’ve just really made it feel like Hollywood can be glamorous still and you can still have a very rich home life, even when you get rich.”
Del Rey — born Elizabeth Woolridge Grant — and Dufrene were first romantically linked in August when a fan posted a TikTok video of them holding hands in London.
The following month, the couple stepped out hand-in-hand as they attended model Karen Elson’s New York City wedding.
On Sept. 26, the “Diet Mountain Dew” songstress and the swamp boat tour guide, who have known each other since 2019, tied the knot in front of family and friends in an intimate ceremony in Des Allemandes, La.
