Lady Kitty Spencer has the beautiful blonde hair that has long been associated with the Spencer genes – and it seems her daughter is following suit. The 35-year-old model and niece of the late Princess Diana took to Instagram on 8 March to share her personal photo album from a trip to South Africa, including some rare photos of her daughter, Athena.
Enjoying time in sunny Cape Town, where Kitty grew up, two-year-old Athena looked so cute with her blonde hair tied into two tiny plaits. She seemed to visit a zoo or animal sanctuary where she met a giraffe that towered over her.

In other shots, Athena wore a sweet summer dress as she walked through a vineyard with her hair in one single twisted plait, and in another, her sandy-hued locks were swept off her face and into a tiny ballet bun. “South African summer,” Kitty, who shares little Athena with her husband, South African billionaire Michael Lewis, 67, captioned the post.

Lady Kitty’s mini-me
Lady Kitty exclusively shares photos of Athena that shield her face, but from what she has shared online, it seems her daughter is her mini-me. In September 2025, she enjoyed a trip on the French Riviera with her little one in tow, and she wore an array of floaty summer dresses – just like her mother.

Stepping into a new chapter
Since becoming a mother, Kitty, who has been married to Michael Lewis since 2021, revealed last March on Mother’s Day that she had welcomed a child, having kept her pregnancy a secret.
