Kyra Sedgwick looks so youthful as she dances inside stylish family home

Kyra Sedgwick was glowing as she showcased her dance moves to fans on social media on Thursday to celebrate a special gift she received from a friend.

The 60-year-old sported a beige short-sleeved cardigan and black jeans for the video posted to Instagram, and wore her curly blonde locks in a casual up-do. Kyra danced across the screen to the tune of “I Am Woman” by Emmy Meli as she held up a box of chocolates in her stylish living room in Connecticut, with the sun setting in the background.

“I am woman, I love chocolate, I am feeling EXTRA special…because my friend got me my favorite @seescandies! – THAT IS LOVE! #DancingInTheKitchen,” she wrote in the caption. Fans rushed to the comments to point out the parallels between Kyra and her character from The Closer, Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, who was famously obsessed with all things sweet.  

“So it wasn’t just a character trait; you are a real-life chocolate lover!!” one fan wrote, while another added: “Your chocolate obsession is real in The Closer,” and a third chimed in: “Just like The Closer!”

Kyra previously revealed to the Chicago Tribune that she did share the sweet tooth trait with her character. “It’s taken me a long time to come out about my sugar craving,” she joked. “I have to have chocolate every day. For me, life is really hard. It’s nice to have a sweet thing.”

Eating sweets has clearly not affected Kyra’s ageless beauty, yet the mother of two does employ several practices to maintain her vigor. “I do a lot of self-care. It’s actually something I consider myself to be pretty good at,” she told New Beauty. “I firmly believe in the concept of filling up my own tank, so that I can be there for the people that I love.”

“I meditate very imperfectly – not every day, but most days. I know that I need to stay mindful, which is a practice in itself,” she continued, before adding that she preferred to exercise outdoors.

“I like to exercise, and I love to exercise in nature,” Kyra said. “I don’t really run, but I love to hike when I’m in Los Angeles, and I like to walk around when I’m in New York, especially in the parks. We’re so lucky to have the parks! I need to see some green to ground me.”

The blonde beauty has even gotten her husband of 37 years, Kevin Bacon, on the self-care train by providing him with a youthful skincare routine.

I’m not going to pretend that I don’t try to take care of myself, but my wife really tries,” the Footloose star told Haute Living. “She’s constantly leaving me little skin routine products on my side of the sink, like age-defying, emulsifying [expletive], or a restoring lotion.”

“I’ll be like, ‘Where’d this come from?’ But then I’ll think about it and go, ‘Oh, of course. I know.’ I often ask her what she’s trying to say. She’s always wanting me to keep up some kind of routine,” he added. Together, the pair live between their $2.5 million Los Angeles mansion, their Manhattan apartment and their 40-acre farm in Connecticut, which Kevin bought in the early ’80s.
