Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky still aren’t having a conversation about filing for divorce.
“Can I ask you something, honey? Friend to friend,” Dorit Kemsley started asking Kyle in Us Weekly’s exclusive clip from this week’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills episode. “Do you think in the back of your mind that the reason why you wouldn’t file is that, maybe, there’s a chance that you two will reconcile?”
Kyle didn’t get a chance to answer the question because Mauricio made a surprise appearance at their lunch.
“I think I recognize some people here,” he could be heard saying while walking up to the women’s table. Kyle looked shocked upon seeing her estranged husband — especially since they were just talking about him.
“We were just talking about you,” Kyle said as Mauricio greeted all the women. His surprise appearance at lunch marked the first time that Maurcio and Bozoma Saint John had crossed paths.
Mauricio explained that he had a meeting with a new partner, as his The Agency real estate company gears up to open an office in Saudi Arabia. He saw the women while walking by the restaurant.
Dorit decided to post her question to Mauricio head-on after he sat down at the table.
“Have you thought about filing?” she asked. Kyle and Mauricio separated in 2023 after 27 years of marriage. They are still legally married.
“No,” Mauricio replied, asking Kyle if she “ever thought about it.”
Kyle replied, “When you made me mad a couple of times.”
Mauricio joked that he “should have just kept walking” past the restaurant, through laughter.
Both Dorit and Kyle reacted to the entire moment in their confessionals as well.
“Are we being pranked right now?” Dorit wondered in her confessional. “I mean, this is insane.”
Kyle had a similar response.
“Are you kidding me?” she said. “What, does he have me on ‘Find My’? I’m telling you, this town is too small for the both of us.”
Questions about whether or not Kyle and Mauricio plan to file for divorce have been raised since news of their separation broke. A source told Us Weekly earlier this month that the former couple “are not getting back together or rekindling their romance,” but there is “still so much love between them.”
Kyle and Mauricio are “in a really good place right now,” the source said. (The former couple are parents to daughters Alexia, 29, Sophia, 25, and Portia, 17. Richards is also a mom to daughter, Farrah, 37, whom she shares with ex Guraish Aldjufrie.)
“Of course it would be great if they called off their separation, but the family knows it’s most likely not going to happen,” the insider continued. “They are genuinely friends right now and still have so much fun together.”
The source added, “They have been loving towards one another but that doesn’t mean they are getting back together.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Bravo Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET and streams the next day on Peacock.
