Kristin Davis is getting candid about her past relationship with Alec Baldwin — and the “embarrassing” reason she didn’t want them to call it quits in the early ’00s!

The Sex and the City alum, 60, appeared on the Feb. 27, episode of the Literally! with Rob Lowe post when host Rob Lowe asked her about her relationship with the 30 Rock star, who she dated briefly around 2001.

“One of the best things about Alec Baldwin when I dated him was that he had the most incredible house in Amagansett,” Davis said, laughing.

“I remember I was at work and I was like, ‘Sarah Jessica [Parker], I don’t know if it’s going to work out with Alec and I but I just really love that house.’ Which is literally like one of the only times I have felt that way,” she added. “You know? I don’t want to break up with this person because I like his house. It’s so embarrassing to say that out loud but its true.”

The love for the home was certainly mutual. Baldwin, now 66, purchased the 10,000-square-foot home in 1996 and it was originally built in 1740, as previously reported by PEOPLE. After he first put the property on the market in November 2022, Baldwin shared a video tour in 2024, noting that he “fell in love with this place the moment I came here.”

Davis’ dating revelation followed Lowe asking her to identify the unidentified actor who ghosted her after she loaned him money in the ’90s. The And Just Like That... star denied the actor was Baldwin — who was already a household name for his work in Beetlejuice and beyond at that point — and explained he “was so rich by the time” they dated.

As for the man who ghosted her, Davis told Lowe she was “not gonna tell you that name.” “I feel so bad that I told that story, Rob. Because now [the unnamed man] is a con-artist, he was an out-of-work actor, people,” she said. “I can’t name the name. I’ll tell you the next time I see you.”

Davis previously shared the story on a Jan. 20 episode of her Are You a Charlotte? podcast, when she told fellow actress Sarah Wynter about a time when she was ghosted by a “now very successful” actor three decades earlier. She ended up loaning the actor around $5,000, Davis revealed, calling it a “horrible mistake.”

“Anyone listening, do not lend anyone money that you are dating. Okay? Do not do it!” Davis urged. “It doesn’t end well.”

Earlier this month, Davis appeared on the cover of PEOPLE and revealed some additional dating insight, noting that it hasn’t been a priority for her as of late. “Dating’s tough as a single mom. My friends feel that I should be dating, because life is short,” said Davis, who is mom to children, Gemma Rose, 13, and Wilson, 7. “Sarah Jessica was going to put me on a dating app. I’m like, ‘Sarah Jessica, I will kill you.’ I was like, ‘Do not!”

After Parker, 59, suggested that she’d “make a profile for” her longtime costar, Davis recalled shutting down the idea with a definitive “no.”

“I just don’t meet that many people, I guess. And I’m super focused on the kids and it’s hard to date with the kids. I’ve tried. I mean, it’s tough,” she said. “It’s not like I’m not open to it. I just don’t, I’m not actively pursuing it. Let’s put it that way. But you kind of, at some point, I guess you have to do [it].”
