Kristen Stewart always does what she wants when it comes to her red carpet looks.
The Twilight actress attended the April 7 screening of her forthcoming movie, Sacramento, in Los Angeles and decided to forego a formal dress — or a whole top — for the event.
Stewart, 34, instead opted to wear a leather triangle bra in place of a shirt. Tapping into the geek chic aesthetic, the star completed the look with a pair of black trousers held up by red, white and blue suspenders supported by her shoulders.

The actress completed the casual, lingerie-inspired look with a silver necklace and matching rings and wore a pair of black platform booties. She additionally wore her bleach-blonde hair in loose waves and opted for a light brown eyeshadow on her lids.
Stewart has discussed her unique approach to style, calling the way she dresses “f—— dope,” in a 2016 interview with Vanity Fair when asked about her look.

“My style is a little edgy and different,” she continued. “It’s fun to wear clothes that show off my personality, and I feel way more comfortable and confident when I do. It’s boring if I look like everyone else. I like to be different, even if other people don’t like what I’m wearing.”
The Loves Lies Bleeding actress can credit stylist Tara Swennen for her memorable red carpet looks, but when it comes to casual outings or running errands, Stewart loves to get crafty with how she wears pieces of clothing.
Swennen previously told PEOPLE in 2016 that Stewart is always down to experiment with her fashion choices. “When it comes to her everyday look, Kristen is always trying her tees up or cutting them,” Swennen explained.
“If there’s one thing I could say about Kristen and I, it’s that comfort is key,” the stylist added, noting that Stewart “loves a good heel … she just doesn’t want to wear them for five hours. None of us do!”
