XOXO, Kristen Bell.
The actress broke cover at New York Cityâs 92nd Street Y on Wednesday night, hours after skipping her âTodayâ show appearance over a âtone-deafâ anniversary post to husband Dax Shepard.
The âNobody Wants Thisâ star posed on the red carpet while joining her fellow cast members for a screening of the showâs second season and a panel conversation.
The 45-year-old wore an all-black ensemble for the event, pairing a silk tank with palazzo pants and a beret.
The âGossip Girlâ alum, who wore her hair down, completed the look with a gold necklace.
She appeared in good spirits, chatting with âHappy Sad Confusedâ podcast host Josh Horowitz onstage, alongside co-star Adam Brody.
Earlier that same day, Bell was scheduled to appear on the âTodayâ show with Justine Lupe â but Lupe, 36, did the sitdown solo.
The âSuccessionâ alum, notably, discussed Bell and her love of pranks but did not address recent headlines about the Emmy nomineeâs social media snafu.
Bell set tongues wagging on Friday when she honored her and Shepardâs 12th year of marriage via Instagram.
âHappy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: âI would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though Iâm heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.â â€ïž,â she wrote.
The âGood Placeâ alumâs followers dragged her in the comments section for sharing such a âwild thingâ during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
National Network to End Domestic Violence, an advocacy group, slammed the ââjokeâ that trivialize[s] the very real fear, trauma and pain that millions of victims and survivors face each dayâ in a statement to Page Six on Tuesday.
âWe all have a responsibility to support victims and survivors, to invest in proven solutions and to speak about this issue with the seriousness it deserves,â the organization wrote.
Bellâs rep has yet to respond to Page Sixâs request for comment.
A clip recently resurfaced of Shepard, who has yet to address the drama, joking about getting âoffendedâ over something his wife said and hitting her âseveral timesâ while doing press for âHit & Runâ in 2012.
At the time, Bell quipped, âThen I got beat up, and guess what â I never opened my mouth again.â
She and the âArmchair Expertâ host have been married since October 2013 and share two daughters â Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 10.
