Kourtney Kardashian’s rarely-seen daughter Penelope Disick is all grown up as she returns to school

It’s back to school for children across the USA, and Kourtney Kardashian marked the occasion with a very rare post featuring her only daughter, Penelope Disick. 

The Poosh founder took to Instagram Stories to share a candid first day of school photo of her 14-year-old showcasing her grown-up looking nails while drinking a matcha in the back of the car. 

Penelope wore a white vest top and jeans and opted for vibrant ombre pink nails done by celebrity favorite nail artist, Kim Truong. Kim’s recent clients include Rihanna, Zendaya, and Penelope’s aunt, Kim Kardashian. 

Penelope is Kourtney’s only daughter, who she shares with ex Scott Disick. The former couple are also parents to sons Mason, 16, and Reign, 11. 

Kourtney and husband Travis Barker share two-year-old Rocky 13. While not a lot is known about the teen, Kourtney previously opened up about her thoughtful personality. 

Just ahead of Rocky’s arrival in 2024, Kourtney wrote on Instagram that it was Penelope – or P as she’s known by her family – who was responsible for packing the outfit for the baby to come home in, which she had bought as a surprise. “P picked this out and bought it for the baby as a surprise for me, the sweetest,” she said. 

Kourtney and her family made a lot of fun memories over the summer break, including a trip to Amangiri, a luxury desert resort located in Canyon Point, Utah.

Being a mom is everything to Kourtney, and she learned a lot about parenting from her own mother, momager Kris Jenner – who is a mom-of-six and grandmother to 13 grandchildren. 

Kourtney looks up to her when she considers how to best raise her children. “She really has shown me a balance between being a mom and having a relationship – she had such a great relationship with my dad,” she explained to Harper’s Bazaar back in 2015 about raising children with an ex.

“I think she does it all, and she’s really showed me that. And she’s also shown me and my sisters how to celebrate life and celebrate holidays, and she takes so much pride, she’s instilled that in us.” 

She also previously told Parents magazine: “It’s definitely my favorite role in life. It has changed me and made me realize there is nothing else I would rather do with my time. Being a mom is what life is about.”

While Kourtney’s older children previously featured on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, now that they are older, they prefer to stay out of the spotlight. 

She has also never publicly shared a photo of her youngest son Rocky. Travis previously told Wall Street Journal: “If I could do everything different, I would have done the same thing with my [older] kids,” adding: “I think it’s weird to grow up and you’re 15 or 12, and you’re like, ‘Mom, you posted this of me?'”
