King Charles‘s beloved Sandringham Estate is hiring for a number of new roles after Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor moved to the area last month.

The King’s royal residence in Norfolk is seeking applicants for “variety of customer-facing roles” on the visitor enterprises team, including a “mini golf and groundskeeper”.

A post on social media read: “We are hiring a variety of customer-facing roles to join our Visitor Enterprises Seasonal Team. Our current roles available are: Ticket Office, House Steward, Visitor Host, Cleaning, Support, Mini Golf & Groundskeeper.”

There are two roles available in mini golf; however, any potential applicants will need to be quick, as the closing date is Monday.

It comes just weeks after the estate shared a job listing for a new chef, after Andrew’s move there at the start of February.

Andrew’s love of golf

The new job posting has an unexpected link to Andrew, who is currently living in exile in Sandringham. Before being forced to quit public life after revelations surrounding his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Andrew was known to be a keen golfer with a handicap in single figures.

The King’s younger brother was spotted playing golf in the Scottish Highlands in May 2024, while his daughter Princess Beatrice hosted a garden party at Buckingham Palace. Andrew even founded a golf tournament called The Duke of York Young Champions Trophy, though it was axed in 2020.

He was previously captain of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, and was pictured playing golf there on numerous occasions. Upon taking on the role in 2003, he said: “I hope that throughout my captaincy there will be an air of celebration for the game of golf – not only here but throughout the golfing world.” He was forced to give up his honorary membership there in 2022.

The Duke’s Course, which was once named after the former Prince, was renamed the Craigtoun Course in December, and the club’s logo was also changed to remove the royal association.

The former Duke’s big house move

Andrew is currently living at Wood Farm Cottage on the Sandringham Estate, while his new permanent home, Marsh Farm, undergoes renovations. He made the move from Royal Lodge in Windsor, where he had lived for two decades with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, at the start of February.

While an official move-in date has not been confirmed, Andrew has seemingly ramped up renovations on his Marsh Farm home as a new gate was installed in the middle of a six-foot fence last week.

Andrew, who had his remaining titles stripped last October, added a double layer of protection to his soon-to-be permanent residence when he erected a large fence in front of an old country swinging gate that was already in place on the grounds. It is believed he will be settled at Marsh Farm in April. Other renovations include a new trench being dug, the installation of Sky TV, and brand-new carpets.
