There are definitely some things that North West can do that her mom cannot.
On the Feb. 20 episode of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian’s eldest daughter performed in The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl. But while she was sick with nerves about the performance, her 11-year-old was completely laidback.
“I couldn’t be more proud and more nervous and more emotional — I’m like, gonna just cry the whole time,” Kim, 44, said as she sat with North in her dressing room before the show.
“It’s not that crazy,” North told her worrying Mom.
She was the epitome of cool, calm and collected, while Kim had been debating for days about whether or not to let North perform, as she said she’s “not ready” to become a momager quite yet.
“I’m not ready for my pantsuit and my short haircut,” she said in a confessional, referring to her mom Kris Jenner’s signature look. “But if there’s one thing that she wants to do here or there that makes sense, we’ll consider it. And I loved this for her.”
When a producer asked Kim if she could do what North’s doing at her age, she candidly admitted, “Absolutely not.”
“I couldn’t do what she’s doing on Dancing with the Stars at 30, so no,” Kim said, referring to her brief stint on the dance competition series in 2008 with partner Mark Ballas. “I froze.”
During her brief stint on DWTS, Kim finished in 11th place. The SKIMS founder previously joked that she might have done better on the series if someone told her to take shots before her performances.
“So apparently I was doing this multiple times til we shut the party down,” Kim wrote over an Instagram video of her dancing with Cade Hudson at sister Khloé Kardashian’s 40th birthday party in July 2024.
“Damn I wish someone told me to have some shots before Dancing W The Stars and I might have lasted a bit longer @cadehudson22,” she jokingly added.
Though she might not be ready for North to begin her career, Kim has been receiving a lot of signs that she needs to embrace it.
“Every time I go to a medium, they always say, ‘Your dad’s coming through to tell you that you’re not gonna be able to stop North. She wants to have a big career, you’re not gonna be able to hold it back,'” she said in a confessional, referring to her late father Robert Kardashian Sr. “For years, everyone’s been telling me.”
