Khloé Kardashian continues to update fans on her skin’s healing journey after undergoing surgery to remove a melanoma tumor on her cheek in 2022.
On Oct. 11, the Kardashians star took Snapchat to share that she’d gotten facial fillers injected after the operation left a dent in her cheek.
“As a result of the surgery, and the tumor my incredible doctor removed, I ended up with an indentation in the side of my face,” Kardashian wrote in the now expired post, per E!. “I waited 9 months after surgery to get the indentation filled.”
The mom of two explained that she let some time pass before getting the injections because she “wanted to make sure medically everything was safe” and that her doctor gave her the “go ahead.”
E! also shared the before-and-after selfies Kardashian posted to show the appearance of her cheek structure after the fillers.

Kardashian first opened up about health scare two years ago after she was asked about the bandage on her face.
“After noticing a small bump on my face and assuming it was something as minor as a zit, I decided to get it biopsied 7 months after realizing it was not budging,” she said, adding that she received two biopsies from separate doctors who both thought the bump was “incredibly rare” for someone her age.
She also documented her battle on season three of The Kardashians. “Melanoma is deadly,” she admitted in a confessional. “This is way more serious than I anticipated it to be.”
She was motivated to share her story to remind others to get frequent checkups, recounting her past encounter with skin cancer.
“At 19 years old, I had melanoma on my back, and I had a surgery to remove that as well, so I am pre-composed to melanomas. Even those who are not, we should be checking all the time,” Kardashian said at the time. “I am someone who wears sunscreen every single day, religiously so no one is exempt from these things. Please take this seriously and do regular self-exams as well as your annual checkups.”
In November 2022, Kardashian took to X (formerly Twitter) to share how she her incision was healing, noting that she was doing laser treatments and diligently wearing a small bandage on her face to prevent her scar tissue from expanding.
