KFC is expanding its fried chicken empire.
On Monday, Dec. 23, the fast food chain opened Saucy, a new concept store in Orlando.
Unlike KFC restaurants, which sell everything from fried chicken pieces to nuggets to chicken sandwiches, the new venture focuses on crispy chicken tenders. The tenders come with the choice of 11 signature sauces — in a nod to the flagship’s famous 11 herbs and spices in its chicken coating.
With nearly a dozen to choose from, there’s likely a sauce for every type of dunker. Flavors range from traditional (like sweet and saucy BBQ, saucy ranch and creole honey mustard) to a collection of ranches (including chimichurri ranch, peri peri ranch, jalapeño pesto ranch and smokey bacon ranch) to Asian-inspired blends (like Thai sweet and spicy, spicy mango chutney and sweet teriyaki).
The tenders and sauces can be paired with toasted Hawaiian rolls, crinkle cut fries and the chain’s cole slaw.
Saucy also offers sanwiches made with tenders, like a crispy chicken sandwich and spicy queso crunch sandwich — along with a few desserts, such as a chocolate mousse cake or a key lime cake.
The customization-focused restaurant gives guests options that make “over 4,000 different ways” to order, according to a press release.
Guests can order at a drive-thru or kiosks but are invited to sit in the pink and orange clad restaurant. The fast food spot also plans to launch “live entertainment,” per a release, to create “perfect community epicenter.”
There are plans to open more Saucy locations around the country “soon” but the timing and locations are not specified, per the press release.

Fans with a fried chicken craving outside of Florida can turn their attention to McDonald’s.
The burger chain is offering customers 10 Chicken McNuggets for $1 through Dec. 30. The discount is redeemable in the McDonald’s app and refreshes weekly, so nugget-loving customers have the opportunity to get the deal twice before 2025.
