Icons recognize icons.
Burberry tapped an all-star cast to model its signature trench coats for its new “Portraits of an Icon” campaign — including Kendall Jenner, seen above in a behind-the-scenes snap shared exclusively with Page Six Style.
Jenner’s relationship with the British heritage house dates back nearly a decade; she’s walked multiple Burberry runways and has posed for several other campaigns over the years, in addition to incorporating the brand’s wares into her street style looks.
Teyana Taylor, Kate Moss, Jonathan Bailey, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Kristin Scott Thomas, Kid Cudi and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are among the other 23 celebs Tim Walker photographed in black and white for the fresh campaign.
“To celebrate the Burberry trench, an icon of British style and fashion, we invited friends from across the creative world to bring it to life,” creative director Daniel Lee shared in a press release of the ads, which also mark the brand’s 170th anniversary.
“Think of it as a tribute to Burberry – a symbol of British style and craftsmanship – and a thank you to the skilled individuals behind every coat.”
The outerwear featured in the campaign hails from the brand’s Heritage Collection; each piece is made in England at the same Castleford manufacturing site that’s produced Burberry rainwear for more than 50 years.
In the decades since the trench coat’s creation — which began with Thomas Burberry’s invention of gabardine in 1879 — the fashionable, functional jacket’s become a certified Hollywood hit.
Sarah Pidgeon, Olivia Rodrigo and Margot Robbie are among the stars who’ve been spotted in versions of the classic coat in recent weeks.
